The annual Kyadondo 7's tournament has been postponed from May 17th to June 21st as the Kenyan and Rwandan teams invited were yet to confirm their participation. The Kenyan club sides have the bulk of their players in the Kenyan national team set to play Lady Cranes in Kampala on May 24th. The dates of the Kyadondo 7's and the Elgon are too close to allow the clubs and KRFU to plan properly for both the trips.
Meanwhile, Thunderbirds currently leads the UWRA womens 7's 3 team league with 18 points, closely followed by Black Panthers on 16 points with Rangers at the bottom with 11 points. The league has taken a break as the players prepare for the Elgon Cup.
